Junior Accountant – Emu Park

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support daily financial operations at our Emu Park site, handling invoices, journal entries, and account reconciliations. This full‑time, on‑site position contributes to month‑end and year‑end closing activities and assists the finance team with budgeting and audit preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and record journal entries in the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank and ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing tasks, including basic financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and audit preparation activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and improve processes.

Required profile

• Foundational accounting knowledge, including ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or progress toward a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB or Xero.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
