IT Support Engineer

About the role

LGT Wealth Management is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join its Technology team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Melbourne. The role provides first and second-line end-user computing support (hardware and software) to users in the Australian offices, contributes to improving end-user computing services and takes part in project tasks such as hardware deployments, upgrades and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle email, telephone and walk-up requests from internal and external customers, triage incidents and service requests and own them through to closure.
• Prioritise and resolve incidents according to agreed SLAs and documented processes.
• Deploy workstations, move and replace desktop accessories, and image and deploy laptops for new starters and replacements.
• Support Identity and Access Management, including account provisioning, role-based access control, password resets and authentication troubleshooting.
• Maintain process documentation, manage IT consumable stock and liaise with suppliers and third-party vendors.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software and networking, including printers and AV equipment, and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to project tasks and testing under the guidance of senior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years as a Helpdesk or Technical Support Engineer or similar.
• Experience in a financial services organisation is highly desirable.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business, or equivalent industry experience, is desirable.
• Ability to work in a team, communicate well and document work; customer-centric approach.

Required skills

• Windows and Microsoft Office support.
• Apple iOS devices.
• Email and messaging (Outlook/Exchange/Teams).
• Endpoint management tools such as Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
• Active Directory, GPO and mobile device management.
• ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA or Ivanti; ITIL familiarity is desirable.
