IT Security Specialist

About the role

As an IT Security Specialist at Sedgwick, you will help lead and develop the organisation’s cyber security capability. Working closely with IT leadership, you will detect and respond to cyber threats while strengthening enterprise‑wide security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, analyse and resolve IT and cyber security incidents across the organisation.
• Administer and support a range of IT security tools, platforms and applications.
• Investigate suspected malicious activity and provide clear written and verbal reports to management.
• Partner with IT teams, project managers and business stakeholders to implement effective security solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT security controls, processes and frameworks.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of proven experience in IT security operations or cyber security incident response.
• 4‑5 years of SOC experience.
• 2 years of networking experience.
• Strong understanding of the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) triad and security frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Experience with TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers and endpoint protection solutions.
• Proficiency with SIEM solutions and encryption technologies.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and operating systems in enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on experience in security operations centre (SOC) environments.
