Developer – Smart Technology Solutions for Workplace Safety

About the role

SafeWork NSW is looking for a Developer to create smart technology solutions that improve workplace health and safety outcomes across New South Wales. The role sits in the Data and Digital Systems Directorate and works with a cross‑functional agile team to translate business needs into secure, reliable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, release and support software solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, JavaScript, C#.NET, SQL and Azure.
• Collaborate with business analysts, service designers, testers and end‑users to ensure solutions meet functional and compliance requirements.
• Maintain adherence to NSW Government design rules, accessibility standards, security practices and quality assurance processes.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, continuously improve system performance and user experience.

Required profile

• Practical, collaborative developer who can explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in agile or project‑based environments.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

• Full‑time permanent position with a salary range $116,981 – $129,492 plus superannuation.
