Software Engineer, DevOps

About the role

H2O.ai is looking for a motivated Software Engineer with a DevOps focus to help customers deploy and operate secure, scalable cloud solutions. You will work closely with Customer Success, Enterprise Support and Product Engineering to deliver production‑grade environments on AWS and Kubernetes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable systems on AWS and Kubernetes, using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate operational processes, and implement observability frameworks (metrics, logging, monitoring, alerting).
• Support reliability, performance, security and scalability of customer cloud environments, applying best‑practice IAM, networking and encryption controls.
• Work directly with enterprise customers to translate technical requirements into implementation plans, troubleshoot containerised workloads and assist with incident resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide product feedback and continuously improve deployment experiences.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and deploying cloud‑based applications.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across Linux, containers, networking and distributed systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a learning mindset for fast‑moving environments.
