IT Operations Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist to own and optimise a fully cloud‑based environment. You will be the technical backbone of a digital‑first SME, working hands‑on with Microsoft 365, Azure and related services while supporting day‑to‑day user needs.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 and Azure (including Entra, SSO and endpoint management).
• Act as the primary escalation point for Tier 1 external MSPs and cybersecurity partners, ensuring network, firewall and infrastructure SLAs are met.
• Provide visible L1/L2 technical support to internal users – password resets, device setups and troubleshooting.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures and related documentation.
• Support backend integration and access for enterprise LMS, CRM and CMS platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT Operations Specialist, IT Generalist or standalone Systems Administrator.
• Strong service‑desk mentality with a willingness to handle both basic support and complex operational tasks.
• Commercial maturity in managing third‑party vendors and enforcing SLAs.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can optimise under‑utilised software and contribute to modernisation projects.
