IT Audit Manager – Risk & Controls Assurance

About the role

Pwc Australia is seeking an experienced IT Audit leader to drive strategic direction and execution of IT audit, cybersecurity and technology risk engagements for clients across finance, technology, energy and health sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, large‑scale IT audit, cybersecurity and technology risk projects, providing high‑quality insights and practical recommendations.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with C‑suite and senior executives, aligning IT risk solutions with strategic objectives.
• Develop innovative audit methodologies using AI, automation and data analytics to improve effectiveness.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing teams, fostering continuous learning, diversity and collaboration.
• Identify business development opportunities, craft proposals and expand PwC’s IT risk and cybersecurity advisory footprint.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity assurance or technology risk consulting within a professional services environment.
• Proven leadership managing multiple large client engagements and delivering complex technology risk advisory projects.
• Deep expertise in IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST) and data privacy regulations.
• Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
