Inventory Coordinator

About the role

Salomon, a leading outdoor sports brand owned by Amer Sports, is looking for an Inventory Coordinator for its flagship store in Emporium, Melbourne. This is a newly created role reporting to the Store Manager, focused on keeping stock flowing accurately and reliably so customers can find what they need.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, process and replenish stock to keep products available and the customer experience smooth.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock takes, cycle counts and stock control processes.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and help keep inventory accurate across the store.
• Keep the stockroom organised, safe and efficient.
• Manage stock flow between the stockroom and sales floor, especially during peak trading periods.
• Use inventory systems and technology for accurate stock management and reporting.
• Meet stock processing and replenishment targets and look for ways to improve performance.
• Support safety, loss prevention and compliance standards.
• Help customers with stock enquiries and product availability.

Required profile

• Previous experience in retail, inventory, stock control, warehousing or an operations-focused role.
• Experience with stock processing, replenishment, transfers and inventory management.
• Experience working to performance measures and operational targets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of loss prevention and stock control practices.

Required skills

• Stock takes, cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Inventory management systems, handheld devices or retail technology platforms.
