Internal Communications & Social Impact Specialist (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As the Internal Communications & Social Impact Specialist for Mars Snacking ANZ, you will help bring the company’s purpose to life by engaging associates across Australia and New Zealand through compelling communications, culture initiatives and community impact programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver internal communications that support business priorities, transformation programmes and culture initiatives.
• Advise senior leaders on clear, engaging communication approaches.
• Create high‑impact content for town halls, newsletters, intranet, video and social platforms.
• Partner with manufacturing and commercial teams to connect associates with business strategy and purpose.
• Lead activation of signature Mars programmes, including volunteering, community engagement and social impact initiatives.
• Manage community partnerships, sponsorship requests, volunteering activities and report on outcomes.
• Measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve engagement results.

Required profile

• A degree in Communications, Journalism or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3‑5+ years’ experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications within a large organisation.
• Experience supporting change communications and working with senior leaders.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience delivering CSR, community or social‑impact programmes.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.
