Intern Pharmacist – Temporary Full‑Time (2027)

About the role

Justice Health NSW is seeking an Intern Pharmacist to join its Pharmacy Department on a fixed‑term basis from January to December 2027. This position offers a supportive environment to develop medication management and clinical care skills while working toward registration with AHPRA.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in medication management and clinical care of patients under the supervision of a preceptor and the Chief Pharmacist.
• Provide quality pharmacy services that support the core business of the department.
• Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams and contribute to patient safety initiatives.
• Engage in medication reconciliation and obtain accurate Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH).

Required profile

• Unregistered pharmacist eligible for AHPRA registration.
• Strong interest in developing clinical pharmacy competencies.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve urgent problems.
