Intermediate & Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Services Accountant to join our growing team in West Perth. You will work closely with partners and senior staff, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across companies, trusts, SMSFs, partnerships and sole traders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, BAS, tax returns and supporting workpapers for a range of entity structures.
• Review client accounting records, prepare journals, annual profit estimates, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Assist with business advisory engagements, including business plans, finance applications and accounting system reviews.
• Prepare PAYG summaries, workers’ compensation declarations and client tax instalments.
• Contribute to job budgeting, collaborate with specialist divisions and maintain knowledge of client software systems.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislative and technical developments to ensure compliance and best‑practice outcomes.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and client service.

Required profile

• 1.5–3+ years of experience in public practice tax accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of business services and taxation.
• Experience with a variety of entity structures, including SMSFs.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client‑relationship skills.
• Proactive attitude and a desire to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Australian permanent residency, citizenship or New Zealand citizenship with full working rights in Australia.
