Intermediate Accountant

About the role

Join Bentleys Queensland as an Intermediate Accountant and work across a diverse client portfolio. You’ll develop technical expertise, client interaction skills, and take on increasing responsibility with support from experienced managers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Complete BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects.
• Prepare supporting workpapers and liaise with the ATO on client matters.
• Manage workflow and meet client deadlines with senior team support.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Approximately two or more years of experience in Australian public practice.
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation principles.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and committed to excellent client service.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
