Intermediate Accountant (2-4 Years Experience)

About the role

MJC Partners, a firm recognised in the Australian Financial Review Top 100 Accounting Firms, is looking for an Intermediate Accountant with 2-4 years' experience. This is not a standard compliance-heavy role: you will work closely with senior team members and Partners, getting early exposure to advisory work and growing into Senior and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns
• Manage management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Support client advisory and business structuring
• Assist with transactions such as business sales and purchases
• Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders and the ATOS
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Manage workflow and work in progress to meet deadlines

Required profile

• 2-4 years' experience in public practice (essential)
• CA or CPA, completed or in progress
• Confident communicator with a client-focused mindset
• Proactive attitude and desire to grow your career

Required skills

• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
