Interim SEO Manager (Maternity Cover) – Senior SEO Specialist

About the role

Rocket is seeking an Interim SEO Manager to cover maternity leave until January 2027, after which the role will transition into a permanent Senior SEO Specialist position. You will lead strategy and quality for a select group of enterprise accounts while mentoring a small team of SEO and AI search specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO strategies that boost organic traffic and improve SERP rankings for enterprise clients.
• Conduct comprehensive technical, on‑page, and off‑page SEO audits and regular health checks.
• Mentor and guide a team of SEO and AI search specialists, fostering skill development.
• Represent the SEO function in client meetings and internal discussions.
• Manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest SEO trends, tools, and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years of experience in a digital marketing or SEO agency environment.
• Proven track record managing tier‑1 SEO accounts and delivering measurable results.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to strategy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior SEO professionals.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous professional development.
