Injury Management Specialist – Mining Portfolio

About the role

The Injury Management Specialist will support a mining caseload and deliver high‑level rehabilitation services for key customers across Western Australia. You will work within the WorkFocus Australia team, managing return‑to‑work outcomes and ensuring compliance with service agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide return‑to‑work services for injured clients and their employers, aiming for safe and sustainable outcomes.
• Maintain quality metrics in line with SLA requirements, including return‑to‑work rates, costs and durations.
• Conduct worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment and home assessments.
• Identify and address Return‑to‑Work barriers.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners and employers to achieve mutually appropriate outcomes.
• Implement services according to customer SLAs and complete critical case reviews.
• Represent WorkFocus at public forums and committee meetings as required.

Required profile

• Australian recognised degree and full accreditation in Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
• Current driver’s licence and a vehicle for travel.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high‑level customer service.
