Infrastructure & Utilities Associate / VP

About the role

Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking division in Sydney is looking for an Associate/VP in Infrastructure & Utilities. The division serves corporates, financial institutions, government agencies and financial sponsors, covering buy-side and sell-side M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising, including complex cross-border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of investment banking transactions (M&A and strategic advisory) across infrastructure, power, transport, data centres and utilities
• Manage and mentor analysts, lead workstreams and ensure high-quality analysis, presentations and client deliverables
• Support origination by identifying client opportunities, contributing to pitch development and presenting alongside senior team members
• Oversee valuation analysis, financial modelling, due diligence and transaction execution
• Build sector competence in airports, ports, regulated utilities, toll roads, power generation, digital infrastructure and core infrastructure such as logistics and waste management

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in investment banking, infrastructure investing, corporate advisory or corporate finance within an infrastructure or utilities business
• Exposure to transaction execution and/or complex strategic, financing or investment processes in at least one infrastructure, utilities or digital infrastructure sub-sector
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability, with financial literacy including financial models, valuations and investment analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to engage senior stakeholders and investment partners
• Interest in infrastructure, energy transition and emerging sector trends
• Ability to leverage AI tools productively and ethically
