Infrastructure Development Lead

About the role

Fuse Energy is building an integrated energy company in Australia and needs a leader to acquire and develop ready‑to‑build solar and battery storage (BESS) projects. You will shape the Australian project pipeline with high ownership and speed.

Key responsibilities

• Source and originate ready‑to‑build solar and BESS projects through developers, landowners and industry networks.
• Lead technical, grid, planning and commercial due diligence on acquisition opportunities.
• Drive transactions end‑to‑end, from initial conversation through negotiation and close.
• Assess project risks across grid connection, permitting, land and construction readiness.
• Lead selective greenfield solar and BESS projects from site identification through ready‑to‑build status.
• Work with technical teams to develop grid connection strategies with AEMO, DNSPs and TNSPs.

Required profile

• Experience in utility‑scale solar, BESS or renewable energy development, acquisitions or M&A.
• Track record of originating, assessing or closing renewable energy project transactions.
• Strong understanding of Australian grid connection processes, including AEMO, DNSPs and state approvals.
• Exceptionally driven and high agency, able to operate in an ambiguous early‑stage environment.
