Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, is hiring an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician for its new customer site in Tamworth, regional NSW. The role suits someone with solid mechanical aptitude who keeps critical automated systems running at peak performance, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment and troubleshooting faults. The work takes place in a cold storage facility (0-4 degrees).

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and keep automated systems operating at peak performance.
• Work in a cold room / freezer environment.

Required profile

• Australian trade qualification: Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Unrestricted electrical licence (Australia).
• No issues working in a cool room / freezer environment.
• Solid mechanical aptitude with previous maintenance experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to think on their feet, enjoy problem solving and hands-on work, and take ownership of their work.
• Australian working rights are essential.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus but not essential (training provided).
