Industrial Cleaner

About the role

The Industrial Cleaner supports the upkeep of housekeeping standards across Austal's shipyard operational areas and walkways. This role is essential for maintaining safe access by keeping walkways, stairwells and high‑traffic production zones clean and free of hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine sweeping of walkways, stairwells, hardstand areas and access routes throughout the shipyard.
• Operate and maintain industrial push‑sweeping equipment and brooms to remove debris.
• Ensure all walkways remain clear of trip hazards, dust and loose material.
• Perform cleaning rounds in line with site housekeeping standards.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults to supervision.
• Support general housekeeping tasks as required.

Required profile

• Valid Construction Industry White Card.
• Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
