IEA Employment Consultant - Muswellbrook

About the role

APM Group is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia Program, based across the Muswellbrook and Singleton, NSW locations, with occasional outreach to the Merriwa and Scone sites. The role combines people support with sales, relationship building and administration, helping people with disability, injury or long-term unemployment find sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with participants to understand their employment goals and coach them to be job-ready, competitive and interview confident.
• Help participants with resumes, interview preparation, job search strategies and access to training and upskilling.
• Advocate on behalf of participants to employers and secure job placements, and pitch candidates confidently.
• Generate new opportunities through cold calls, employer visits and face-to-face engagement, and build a pipeline of employers.
• Negotiate job trials, work experience placements and wage subsidies, and promote the commercial and social value of inclusive recruitment.
• Maintain employer relationships, track participant progress, manage compliance, documentation and data entry, and meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development, recruitment or customer-facing roles.
• Eligibility to work in Australia, a current driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• A MyGovID (standard level), willingness to complete a National Police Check and pass a Working with Children Check.
• Full-time availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
