IEA Employment Consultant - Cranbourne

About the role

APM Group is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Cranbourne site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. The role combines people support with sales, relationship building and administration, helping people with disability, injury or long-term unemployment become job-ready and find sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with participants to understand their employment goals and coach them to be job-ready, competitive and interview confident.
• Assist participants with resumes, interview preparation, job search strategies and access to training and upskilling.
• Advocate on behalf of participants to employers and secure job placements.
• Generate new opportunities through cold calls, employer visits and face-to-face engagement, and build a pipeline of employers.
• Pitch candidates, promote the value of inclusive recruitment and negotiate job trials, work experience placements and wage subsidies.
• Maintain employer relationships, track participant progress, manage compliance, documentation and data entry, and meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Natural communicator and relationship builder who can engage employers confidently.
• Experience in sales, business development, recruitment or customer-facing roles.
• Eligibility to work in Australia, a current driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• Able to pass a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.
• Available full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
