ICT Technical Specialist

About the role

The ICT Technical Specialist provides front‑line technical support to end users across Eastern Health’s sites, ensuring devices and applications run smoothly. This customer‑facing role combines strong troubleshooting abilities with excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site technical assistance for desktops, laptops, tablets, thin clients, printers, multifunction devices, IP phones and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues promptly.
• Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and SCCM imaging.
• Maintain and configure Cisco connectivity equipment and perform network cable patching.
• Provide after‑hours support for network and security incidents.
• Document incidents, solutions and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience supporting a mid‑to‑large enterprise environment.
• Advanced knowledge of end‑user hardware and Microsoft Windows OS.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and printer technologies.
• Experience with SCCM, Cisco networking devices and basic wireless/VOIP technologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence and willingness to work after‑hours when required.
