Human Resources Manager

About the role

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is looking for a Human Resources Manager to act as its senior people and culture leader. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role advises the Executive Management Team on workforce matters and covers workforce planning, industrial relations, recruitment, pay governance and workplace culture. It is based in Perth CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Workforce planning and organisational development
• Employee and industrial relations, including enterprise bargaining and agreement implementation
• Performance and capability development
• Recruitment and talent management
• Workplace health, safety and wellbeing
• Organisational culture, employee engagement and change leadership
• Payroll governance and remuneration oversight
• Policy, compliance and workforce governance

Required profile

• Significant experience in a senior leadership role
• Strong employee and industrial relations expertise, including enterprise agreements
• Sound knowledge of employment and workplace legislation
• Experience coaching and influencing senior leaders
• Demonstrated ability to manage workplace investigations, grievance resolution and performance matters
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline
• Experience in the arts, not-for-profit or member-based sectors is highly regarded
