Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne is seeking a passionate Human Resources Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations. This role works closely with the Director of Human Resources to enhance the employee experience across the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of HR programs and daily operations throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring a warm and professional experience for candidates and new hires.
• Maintain employee records, HR systems, and confidential documentation with high attention to detail.
• Assist with payroll administration and employee data management.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation experiences for new staff.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives through Marriott's TakeCare culture.
• Provide guidance for employee enquiries and build trusted relationships across the hotel.
• Assist with training coordination, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.
• Support compliance, reporting and HR projects contributing to hotel success.
• Represent the hotel at career fairs, hospitality events, and employer branding initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, Administration or Hospitality.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• High professionalism, discretion and integrity.
• Service‑oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence.
• Full Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Confidence working with HR systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
