Human Resources Business Partner (Hospitality)

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will work on‑site in Coogee and Potts Point, NSW, providing strategic and operational HR support to hotel leaders and their teams. You will help align people practices with business goals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace across IHG’s hospitality portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers on employee relations issues, conflict resolution and performance management.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and talent development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and IHG policies.
• Design and implement HR programs, training sessions and change‑management activities.
• Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends, recommend solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Permanent role with valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship).
• Proven experience in HR business partnering, workforce planning, performance management and talent development.
• Strong employee‑relations skills and ability to handle sensitive issues discreetly.
• Knowledge of Australian HR policies, legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience in hospitality or service‑focused industries is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field; HR certifications (AHRI, CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
