Human Resources Advisor – Generalist Role

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position is for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join a busy, collaborative HR team within a well‑established Australian business. You will act as a true generalist, partnering with managers and employees across multiple sites to deliver practical HR advice and support a variety of people initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
• Oversee probation reviews, employment changes and compliance with Australian legislation, awards and internal policies.
• Maintain HR records, reporting and compliance activities, including HRIS data management.
• Support employee engagement, culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a generalist HR or People & Culture Advisor.
• Experience supporting operational or blue‑collar workforces is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, approachable and confident in handling employee relations matters.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems.
