HSEQ Coordinator - Construction

About the role

A growing construction business based in Ringwood, working with Tier 1 and government clients on civil construction and commercial building projects, is looking for an HSEQ Coordinator. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role supports and drives HSEQ initiatives so that compliance, safety and quality standards are maintained across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, audit internally and continually improve the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
• Support the development and maintenance of SWMS, procedures and policies
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
• Manage subcontractor compliance and engagement processes
• Report on safety performance, KPIs and improvement initiatives
• Prepare HSEQ documentation for tenders and projects, attend stakeholder meetings and promote a safety culture
• Facilitate training and upskilling of the Field Team through external providers and suppliers

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an HSEQ role within construction
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (Diploma desirable)
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance standards
• Proven ability to maintain and improve an integrated management system across quality, environment and safety

Required skills

• Hands-on experience managing ISO quality management systems
• Experience with systems such as Hammertech, Aconex or Procore
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
