HR Manager

About the role

Alstom is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a permanent position to support the Perth Metronet site operations. Reporting to the HR Business Partnering Lead, you will provide proactive, hands‑on HR support to leaders, managers and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day generalist HR activities and support managers in performance management.
• Provide governance training on employment law and Respect at Work.
• Support resolution of industrial/employee relations issues and work with unions.
• Interpret legislation, contracts, awards and policies.
• Assist with change management, HR projects and performance management cycles.
• Provide reporting and data expertise for business justification.

Required profile

• Hold a tertiary degree in a related field.
• Significant experience in employment/labour law within an operational environment.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in a complex industrial environment and knowledge of industrial relations principles.
• Generalist HR experience across all HR functions in a matrix organisation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and communicate clearly.
