HR Generalist – Dual Jurisdiction (AU/US)

About the role

The HR Generalist provides operational and administrative support for the VESTA and OASIS programs across Australia and the United States. Acting as a bridge between program management and corporate HR, the role ensures compliance with Australian Fair Work legislation, U.S. labor laws, and defense security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data entry in Australian and U.S. HRIS and payroll systems.
• Process contracts, onboarding, variations, and terminations.
• Coordinate enrollment and queries for Australian superannuation and U.S. benefits plans.
• Serve as primary HR policy and benefits advisor for managers and employees.
• Investigate and resolve complex employee‑relations issues, escalating when needed.
• Monitor cross‑border compliance with Fair Work and U.S. labor regulations.
• Assist in drafting and updating local HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain audit‑ready records for defense contracting compliance.
• Promote WHS/OSHA compliance at site level.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks to support the broader HR team.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Secret or Australian Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance; ability to obtain higher clearance if required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience handling dual‑jurisdiction HR operations and compliance.
