HR Business Partner – Hybrid Contract to Permanent

About the role

This is a hands‑on HR Business Partner position supporting a large, field‑based workforce for a global technology organisation operating in road safety and transport services. The role starts as a contract until December 2026 with a strong possibility of conversion to a permanent role in January 2027. You will be based in Silverwater with hybrid flexibility and will attend the Minto site one day per fortnight to stay connected with operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice to operational leaders, supervisors and employees on conduct, performance, attendance, grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations, preparing summaries and documentation.
• Coach managers through difficult conversations and ensure procedural fairness.
• Manage HR operations including employee records, onboarding, employment documentation, reporting and data integrity.
• Utilise HR systems for onboarding, employee updates, transactions and reporting.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Safety, Compliance and Operations to resolve workforce issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in an operational or field‑based environment.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, investigations, disciplinary processes and workforce planning.
• Ability to deliver clear, consistent and commercial HR advice in a fast‑moving setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Experience using HR information systems for onboarding, record‑keeping and reporting.
