About the role

The HR Business Partner provides operational and strategic HR support to employees and managers across Australia. Acting as a trusted advisor, they align local people strategies with business objectives, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and drive continuous improvement of HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and strategic HR support on country‑specific matters and align people strategies with growth plans.
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and employment issues.
• Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and HR regulations to minimize legal risk.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies, manage staffing, and oversee the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, compensation, and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate payroll with external providers to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Foster a positive work environment, promote employee engagement, and drive continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Handle contract management, labor law topics, collective agreements, and termination processes.
• Collaborate with regional HR partners to ensure overall HR performance in the country.
