HR Advisor

About the role

A global FMCG organisation with a strong portfolio of recognised brands is looking for a confident, people-focused HR Advisor. Reporting to a senior HR leader, you will advise leaders and employees across a diverse operational workforce and help create a safe, respectful and high-performing workplace. The role is based in Adelaide City or the Barossa Valley, with up to two days per week working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical advice across the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, wellbeing and exits
• Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, handling routine to moderately complex cases
• Support leaders with performance improvement, disciplinary processes, grievances and investigations
• Interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards, employment legislation and organisational policies
• Contribute to organisational change, workforce projects, performance cycles, capability initiatives, manager training, HR governance and continuous improvement

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience in an HR Advisor or broader HR generalist role
• Sound understanding of employee relations, Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Australian employment legislation
• Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business
• Experience managing sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and integrity
• Willingness to drive continuous learning and to balance day-to-day advisory work with people projects

Required skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong judgement, discretion and confidence giving practical HR advice in fast-paced environments
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between operational locations
