Hotel Operations Manager

About the role

Rydges Kalgoorlie, part of EVT, is hiring a Hotel Operations Manager. The role acts as second in charge to the General Manager, taking full responsibility for the hotel's day-to-day running in the GM's absence. The hotel is undergoing a transition, rebranding and refurbishment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and Heads of Department during the hotel's transition, rebranding and refurbishment.
• Partner with Revenue, Reservations and F&B teams on weekly forecasts and yield strategies to maximise occupancy and average rate.
• Conduct daily room inspections with Housekeeping and Maintenance, and drive the preventative maintenance and spring clean programs.
• Review rosters and control departmental expense and payroll budgets with Heads of Department.
• Maintain a high profile in the foyer, build relationships with VIPs, corporate clients and regular guests, and resolve guest feedback promptly.

Required profile

• Strong leadership skills and experience across all areas of hotel operations.
• Strong financial knowledge, including forecasting revenue and expenses across the hotel.
• Experience writing a hotel budget and a hotel business plan.
• Effective written and verbal communication, with excellent organisation and time management.
• Flexibility with hours and days of work.
