Hospital Pharmacist – Reliever (Hunter & Mid-Coast Region)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position offers a unique reliever pharmacist role across the Hunter & Mid‑Coast regional network in NSW. You will be based primarily at Newcastle Private Hospital while providing coverage at several private hospitals, gaining exposure to diverse clinical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
• Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays, day infusions and discharge.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
• Support clinical and oncology pharmacy services across multiple sites.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across the Hunter & Mid‑Coast network.
• No prior hospital experience required.
