Horticulture Apprentice – Parks & Gardens

About the role

Join Green by Nature as a Horticulture Apprentice and gain hands‑on experience working across professional gardens and green spaces. Over four years you will combine on‑site training with weekly classroom sessions to earn a nationally recognised Certificate III.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in plant identification, care, pruning, transplanting and establishment.
• Maintain gardens, lawns and specialist turf, including mowing and irrigation systems.
• Support pest and disease monitoring and implement appropriate management strategies.
• Operate hand tools, machinery and equipment safely while following WHS practices.

Required profile

• No prior horticultural experience required; a genuine interest in working outdoors is essential.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to completing the four‑year apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s licence and White Card desirable, but not mandatory.
• Australian citizenship to meet apprenticeship education requirements.
