Highways OpenRoads Designer

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Highways OpenRoads Designer to create and model complex roadway and transport infrastructure projects in Western Australia. You will work with multidisciplinary teams from concept through detailed design, ensuring high‑quality geometric and corridor designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop road and highway infrastructure using Bentley OpenRoads Designer, producing alignments, corridors, cross‑sections and earthworks models.
• Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed design deliverables for highways, intersections, local roads and major transport projects.
• Ensure designs comply with MRWA standards, Austroads guidelines and relevant Australian Standards.
• Coordinate with drainage, structures, traffic and utilities teams and participate in design reviews and stakeholder engagement.
• Support BIM and digital engineering requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of experience in road and highway design.
• Advanced proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Experience delivering projects for Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) and strong understanding of MRWA Road Design Guidelines and Austroads Guide to Road Design.
