Heavy Vehicle Tradesperson – Underground Mining

About the role

Aurelia Metals is seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Tradespeople to join its Mobile Maintenance Team at the Peak underground mine in Cobar, NSW. You will work on a roster of 7/7 or 8/6, day or night shifts, maintaining a range of underground mobile equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain underground loaders, haul trucks, graders and shotcreters.
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on mobile plant.
• Interpret pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic schematics to resolve faults.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Trade Certificate – Heavy Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground mining environments.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment such as Sandvik Jumbos, CAT Loaders, ITS/Epiroc haul trucks, Volvo graders, Agi trucks, spray rigs and Normet shotcreters.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Heavy Diesel Fitter certification.
• Troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Reading and interpreting pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Maintenance of Sandvik Jumbos, CAT Loaders, ITS/Epiroc haul trucks, Volvo graders, Agi trucks, spray rigs and Normet shotcreters.
