Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - Brisbane South

About the role

Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Brisbane South, part of Volvo Group Australia, is looking for highly skilled and qualified mechanics to join its Wacol dealership. The team of roughly 100 reports to the Workshop Manager and includes mechanics, auto-electricians, trades assistants, apprentices, service advisors and costing clerks. The role is full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday, with day and afternoon shifts available.

Key responsibilities

• Steering and suspension repairs
• Electrical fault diagnosis and repairs
• Braking system diagnosis and repairs
• Component overhauls
• Driveline repairs
• Preventative maintenance services and repairs
• Offsite and breakdown repairs

Required profile

• A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification or a Light Vehicle mechanical qualification
• Experience working with truck or light vehicle brands
• Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
• A proactive attitude and a positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
