Head of Senior School (Pakenham)

About the role

Chairo Christian School, a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 students across five campuses in Victoria, is seeking a Head of Senior School / Secondary Teacher to lead its Pakenham campus. The appointment starts in January 2027 and covers the 2027 school year, during which the role leads and supports the sub-school while helping develop the campus. The position is full-time, on an ongoing teaching contract with an initial one-year probationary period.

The campus moves to a revised leadership structure from 2028, so the role's scope may change after 2027; a pathway is provided for a suitable candidate.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
• A genuine Christian faith, biblical foundation and active Christian lifestyle
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Chairo's Statement of Faith
• Experience in an educational leadership position or substantial experience as a respected teacher
• Sound knowledge of current educational practices and teaching from a Christian worldview perspective
• Ability to build strong partnering relationships with the whole school community
• Demonstrated capacity to mentor, support and develop teaching staff
• Postgraduate qualifications in education or educational leadership, or progress towards them (desirable)
