Head of Quality & Risk

About the role

Maxlife Care is seeking a senior leader to head quality and risk across its NDIS services in NSW. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Quality & Risk will ensure the organisation meets NDIS Practice Standards, ACIS and RACGP accreditation while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operations to embed quality systems and processes throughout the business.
• Analyse data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead all accreditation and audit activities for NDIS Practice Standards, ACIS and RACGP, maintaining audit readiness and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage end‑to‑end restrictive practice compliance, including DCJ authorisation panels, PRODA portal finalisation and monthly reporting.
• Oversee behavioural governance with the Behavioural Lead, ensuring outcome‑focused MDT meetings and evidence‑based Behaviour Support Plans aligned with NDIS Commission requirements.
• Own the full policy and document governance cycle, guiding subject‑matter experts through scheduled reviews.
• Provide regular compliance updates to the Board and Clinical Governance Committee.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in quality, risk and compliance leadership within the disability or health sector.
• Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, ACIS and RACGP accreditation requirements.
• Proven ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical frontline processes.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to work directly in supported living environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
