Head of Procurement - Technology

About the role

Woolworths Group is looking for a Head of Procurement - Technology & Digital based in Bella Vista, Sydney, working a hybrid arrangement. Reporting to the Director of Group Procurement, you will lead a team of about 10 procurement professionals managing roughly $2 billion in annual spend across Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) Technology, Digital and related services. The role covers end-to-end category strategy across Capex and Opex, including IT hardware, infrastructure, cloud and software, telco and store/DC technologies, and includes oversight of managed services contracts and work on AI and computer vision solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of sourcing and category strategies across Technology, Digital and Services
• Use Woolworths' Category Management Framework and cross-functional squads to deliver commercial, sustainability and risk outcomes
• Build and develop a high-performing procurement team with an agile, growth-oriented and compliant culture
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external global vendors to drive improvement, transformation and AI innovation

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience (Executive Manager, VP, Director or equivalent) managing large-scale spend, with international or multi-industry experience highly valued
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field; professional accreditations such as MCIPS highly regarded
• Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, SaaS/software, telecommunications, IT services and contracting for emerging technologies such as embedded AI
• High EQ and AQ, strong negotiation skills and ability to work in complex matrix environments
