Head of Non-Financial Risk, Transaction Banking & Corporate Finance

About the role

The Head of Non-Financial Risk for Transaction Banking & Corporate Finance will lead the identification, assessment and management of non‑financial risks across these business lines. Reporting to senior leadership, you will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring risk is embedded in strategic decisions and that the control environment supports sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior advisory on non‑financial risk to Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance leaders.
• Challenge and oversee business risk profiles, key risk themes and control effectiveness.
• Lead the governance framework, including risk forums, reporting, escalation and decision‑making processes.
• Ensure material non‑financial risks are identified, assessed, owned and reported within appetite.
• Drive improvements to controls, tools, data and processes to raise risk‑management maturity.
• Oversee delivery of the PACT program, managing milestones, dependencies and outcomes.
• Build and lead a high‑performing risk team, fostering strong partnerships across the business, 2LOD and control functions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in non‑financial risk management within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic risk counsel.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
• Deep understanding of risk governance, control frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive risk‑culture mindset.
