Head of Finance – Lead Financial Strategy

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead Nexifi’s financial strategy and operations, based in Melbourne. This senior position is responsible for driving sustainable growth through robust budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Produce accurate financial reports and analyses to support executive decision‑making.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations and audit requirements.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, cost‑structure optimisation and commercial activities such as pricing and vendor negotiations.
• Mentor and develop the finance team while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Enhance financial systems and tools to improve data quality and process efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow oversight and reporting.
• Experience in strategic finance, FP&A and business partnering at a senior level.
• Proven ability to manage compliance, tax, audit processes and internal risk controls.
• Leadership experience building high‑performance, inclusive finance teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA, CA or CFA qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in technology, digital services or professional services environments is highly beneficial.
