Head of Finance – ANZ Start‑up

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Head of Finance to establish and scale the finance function for a fast‑growing global business entering the Australia and New Zealand market. Reporting to the General Manager – ANZ, you will build the finance organisation from day one and partner closely with senior leadership to drive the company’s transition from a distributor model to an integrated manufacturing and commercial operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a full financial control environment for the ANZ region.
• Lead finance support for acquisitions, integrations and group reporting.
• Partner with commercial teams to provide financial insight and support strategic decisions.
• Develop the infrastructure required for rapid growth across Australia and New Zealand.
• Transition the business from a distributor to a fully integrated manufacturing operation.
• Eventually build and manage a centralized finance support model for the region.
• Travel regularly across Brisbane, Sydney and New Zealand as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience in finance.
• Proven track record supporting acquisitions, integrations and group reporting within a larger organisation.
• Experience in high‑growth, evolving businesses and comfort creating structure from scratch.
• Commercially minded with a strong partnership approach to senior leadership.
• Willingness to build a business in a new market and travel as needed.
