Head of Automotive and Strategic Solutions

About the role

Toll Group's Global Logistics division is looking for an experienced Head of Automotive and Strategic Solutions to lead and optimise its Automotive Transport operations nationally across Australia. The role reports to the Senior Vice President Retail Transport & Grocery and covers operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, innovation and safety in a complex distribution environment. It is based in Westmeadows, Melbourne, with regular interstate travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead automotive transport operations to meet strategic, financial and operational objectives.
• Drive customer-focused solutions and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Oversee P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor and develop a leadership team, supporting succession planning.
• Identify and implement supply chain and technology solutions that improve customer outcomes.
• Champion safety, compliance and operational excellence across all sites and activities.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Business, Management or a related discipline.
• Current driver's licence.
• Strong understanding of transport, supply chain and automotive operations.
• Knowledge of relevant legislative, compliance and safety requirements.
• Experience leading transport, logistics, automotive or supply chain operations, managing customer relationships and profitability, KPIs and forecasting.
• Ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and travel interstate regularly.
• Must be entitled to work in Australia and able to undergo pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.

Required skills

• Financial management and commercial acumen, including budgeting and cost analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
