Head of Analytics (12-Month Fix-Term)

About the role

Mable, a healthtech platform connecting people with disability and older Australians with independent support workers, is hiring a Head of Analytics for a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position. You will set the analytics direction for the business, work with the executive team on strategy, lead a team of 8 managers and analysts, and ensure analysis, dashboards and models deliver measurable commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Set the analytics strategy and roadmap in line with company priorities.
• Work with the executive team and senior leaders to answer the business's hardest questions with data, and represent Data on the executive team.
• Bring stakeholders insights before they ask, so analytics shapes decisions rather than reporting on them afterwards.
• Lead analytics teams across the business and work with product leaders so analytics is part of how squads plan and build.
• Find and lead work that raises revenue or cuts costs, and measure the results.
• Lead the delivery of dashboards, models and tools used across the business.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, warn early about delays and fix problems when work slips.
• Drive best practices across the data platform and lead how the team uses AI within Attain's AI governance framework.
• Coach the team through weekly one-to-ones, give candid feedback and mentor people across the wider data function.

Required profile

• At least eight years using data to inform decisions, including leading analytics teams for three or more years.
• Evidence that analysis changed executive decisions and delivered measurable revenue or cost results.
• Confidence with executives and the ability to settle competing priorities without escalation.
• A record of coaching, giving candid feedback and hiring well.
• Sound judgement on data governance, privacy and risk, ideally in a regulated sector.
• Practical experience using AI in analytics work.
• Experience in health, care, marketplaces or fast-growing technology firms is useful but not essential.
