Head Chef - FIFO 2:2 Northern Territory

About the role

Sodexo is recruiting Head Chefs for FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) positions in the Northern Territory, starting from Darwin. The roster is 11 hours per shift on a 2:2 schedule (two weeks on-site, one week at home), and the role is described as full-time. The position is permanent, with stability and career growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead bulk cooking operations on remote sites with top-tier quality and safety standards.
• Manage operations profitability, budgets and food quality standards, including HACCP compliance.
• Foster team growth in a dynamic, diverse environment while maintaining client relationships.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full Australian working rights.
• Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Proven experience leading a team in mass-catering environments, including preparing meals for breakfast, dinner, crib and pastries.
• HACCP expertise combined with strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Passion for driving high-quality culinary experiences.
• Flexibility and reliability, with willingness to work across a variety of roles and duties in the Northern Territory; candidates must be local to the advertised location or willing to relocate at their own expense.
