Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer Internship (2026)

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a 12‑week summer intern to work on Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) solutions for its autonomous systems. You will apply control theory, physics, and mathematics to real‑world defense technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and test GNC control laws within the Vehicle Management System (VMS) software.
• Create vehicle simulation models to evaluate design trades, system capabilities, and margins.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop new capabilities and bring technologies to market.
• Contribute to the development of enhancements for existing products.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Committed to returning to school after the internship for at least one term.
• Eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Available for an in‑person 12‑week internship in summer 2026.

Required skills

• Experience with digital control systems and linear/non‑linear dynamics.
• Knowledge of state estimation techniques such as Kalman filter and extended Kalman filter.
• Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink.
