Group Management Accountant

About the role

The Group Management Accountant will report to the CFO and be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis across a national business. This role also leads the AP and AR teams, improves financial processes and partners with senior stakeholders to drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end reporting, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare management reports and analyse financial performance.
• Provide commercial insights to support business decisions and profitability.
• Support group consolidation and board reporting.
• Lead and develop the AP and AR teams.
• Improve financial processes, systems and reporting.
• Support broader accounting matters, including payroll and cash flow.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in Accounting or Finance with CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong experience in management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
• Previous team leadership or people management experience.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Strong financial systems experience.
