Ground Crew – Casual Position in Airlie Beach

About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Ground Crew at Cruise Whitsundays in Airlie Beach. This casual role supports the vessel crew by handling luggage, freight and guest services, ensuring smooth operations on board and at the port.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional guest service throughout the boarding and disembarkation process.
• Manage the movement of luggage and freight, loading and unloading items efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory by ordering, receiving and counting supplies.
• Assist the vessel crew with loading, unloading and securing cargo and guest belongings.
• Communicate clearly with the fleet and Port of Airlie via radio.
• Support the reservations team as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and comply with Work, Health and Safety (WHS) procedures.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to guest safety and satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment.
• Good communication skills, especially over radio.
• Physical capability to lift and move luggage and freight.
• Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts.
